Pro tip from Sam: Don't forget hay equipment! New Holland's roots are in balers and harvesters, and we carry service and parts manuals for the full line — from classic square balers to modern round balers. Also: if your tractor was built between 1986 and 1999, it might be listed under Ford, Ford New Holland, or New Holland depending on when the manual was published — we list each manual under the name printed on its cover, so search both brands to find everything available for your model.

New Holland History & Manual Coverage

New Holland's story is one of constant evolution. Founded in 1895 in New Holland, Pennsylvania as a feed mill equipment manufacturer, the company grew into the world's leading hay equipment maker before merging into the tractor business. The merger timeline that matters for manuals:

1895–1985 — New Holland made hay tools — balers, mower-conditioners, forage harvesters. Manuals from this era say "New Holland" or "Sperry New Holland."

1986 — Ford Motor Company acquired Sperry New Holland, creating Ford New Holland. Ford tractors and NH hay equipment under one roof.

1991 — Fiat acquired Ford New Holland, forming N.H. Geotech (later renamed New Holland).

1999 — Fiat merged New Holland with Case Corporation to create CNH Global (now CNH Industrial). New Holland and Case IH became sister brands.

Why this matters when you're shopping for manuals — A Ford 7740 and a New Holland 7740 are the same tractor. A manual printed in 1993 might say "Ford New Holland" on the cover while a reprint says "New Holland." We carry both — search by model number and you'll find everything we have.

We stock over 800 New Holland manuals covering tractors, skid steers, balers, combines, and compact equipment from every era.
